"Karl Popper: permanence and transformation of his thought."

Introduction:

"I may be wrong and you may be right, and by an effort, we may get nearer to the truth”.

Karl R. Popper
The myth of the framework

"La libertad es la tarea que surge de la incertidumbre fundamental de la situación humana en el mundo: como quiera que no podemos saber lo que sea mejor para nosotros, debemos dedicarnos a explorar las soluciones. Desde luego, ello requiere reglas que impidan la dogmatización del error, esto es, exigen aquella situación a la que Popper ha dado el incomparable nombre de sociedad abierta”.

Ralf Dahrendorf
Oportunidades vitales

Sir Karl Popper's (1902-1994) contributions to Philosophy are of such originality and unmeasurable value. His fight against the phenomenon of totalitarism has been of commendable lucidity and intelectual courage. Additionally, his contributions to Philosophy of Sciences and the Epistemology may probably represent the most brilliant page of both disciplines. After ten years of Karl Popper's death, who is recognized as the most important philospher of the 20th century by many, we believe it is mandatory to review the work of this brilliant champion of Liberty.

With this goal in mind, being the search of academic excelence our leading path and under our program dedicated to the interaction with universities, we proposed the realization of a philosophical congress which was aimed to review and enlighten all the aspects of his work.
