Friedrich A. von Hayek Foundation's main goals are to study, investigate and spread the classical liberal ideas, this means, those ideas that are based on the unrestricted respect to the projects of life of the others, situation in which the use of the force is reserved exclusively for defensive aims, never offensive. The mission of the Hayek Foundation consists of working on the principles and classical liberal theories from philosophical, ethical, economic, legal and political science perspective. The Hayek Foundation aims to open the debate on a pluralist basis in order to demonstrate the superiority of the open society against interventionist, statist, socialist and authoritarian versions which, in a very special way, harm the situation of the relatively poorer people, at the time that they erode the values and essential foundations on which a civilized society rests.
